Meet the Founder

I am a communications specialist with a passion for helping values-focused organizations tell their stories across multiple media platforms. I look forward to sharing my decades of experience in developing communications and public relations, storytelling, and producing for media outlets, higher education and nonprofits—to benefit your organization and help you build relationships.

Whether planning your strategic communications for your fundraising campaign, rollout announcements for your new leadership, preparing your team for media interviews, bringing your stories to life, earning media visibility or producing compelling digital content, together we can help you foster relationships among your supporters, stakeholders, media and customers.

In working with clients, I apply my insights from being on many sides of communications businesses. That background includes producing for TV, cable and radio news issues and public affairs programs in New York and Philadelphia and reporting on-air traffic on New York City radio stations. It includes serving as a higher education news and media relations director overseeing the securing of earned media, directing strategic communications for new executive leadership rollouts, media coaching for leadership, trustees, faculty and students, writing and editing a university magazine and supporting fundraising and enrollment teams by creating compelling digital and social media content. And it includes writing and covering stories for Catholic media outlets, and teaching communications and theology to university students.

I look forward to sharing my intuition and skills in unearthing and developing stories of truth, beauty and goodness that humanize institutions, and generate visibility.

Together, let’s explore how we can help your organization’s communications excel so you can advance your mission, build relationships, serve your stakeholders and strive to make the world better. And isn’t that what we are all here for?

– Colette M. Liddy

“Just keep going, that’s all.” It is from the novel “Late Have I Loved You.” I wrote about it here.

one of my favorite sayings

favorite communications quote

“Communications in any form must always be inspired by the ethical criteria of respect for the truth and for the dignity of the human person.” Pope Saint John Paul II, 38th World Communications Day Message

Any form? That’s surely a challenge!  What might that mean in your life?

What are the most gratifying stories I have had the chance to tell through news, media or public relations?

Those are certainly the stories of people who have flourished against the odds and are helping other people, places, institutions, services and products advance, too. Excellent communications work is about being of service to others. I have had wonderful experiences writing and producing stories about many  people who “make it” with hard work and dedicated educators or mentors. These are stories of the men and women behind an educational institution, nonprofit, service, ministry or business that is helping improve the community and people’s lives.

“Do not walk through time without leaving worthy evidence of your passage.” – Pope John XXIII

We can all use our communications and media tools to communicate the good, the true and the beautiful.

Communications, public relations and marketing teams that work together get the most out of their stories and generate positive outcomes for donations, registrations, sales and enrollments.
